Building request also necessary for gravestones: Form is sent away by E-Mail

bremerhaven writes "(official press-realease from b.i.t. Bremerhaven) From the birth to death official formalities accompany the life of people. And even at the cemetery a building permit must be requested for the gravestone. This however is now substantially simpler: Stone-cutters can place the requests on-line.
Through the building permit by mouse-click both the tomb manufacturers and the department of landscape gardening and the cemetery administrations shorten a lengthy and pedantic procedure. Even though, without official benedictions still no memorial stone may be set up on the cemetery because that could tilt or excite because of contents. Therefore the department of landscape gardening examines the tomb for stability and inscription.
But instead sending the request and the gravestone design by normal mail to the department of landscape gardening, from there to the cemetery administration and back again, in the future all documents will be send by E-Mail. The necessary signatures on the request are replaced thereby by the legal digital signature of an electronic smart card, which is provided by the Sparkasse Bremerhaven. „So the stone-cutter can get her permission substantially faster than before“, insured b.i.t. - manager Jörg Wiegand. From the seven stone-cutters from Bremerhaven three already decided to use the digital building request. The electronic request was developed during a project of the European Union by the city Saarbruecken. Wiegand: „Now other cities can profit as Bremerhaven has, from this.“
The three stone-cutter companies G. Herrmann Natursteinbetrieb GmbH, Riedel Natursteine und Lesser + Riedel Grabmale introduce the project on Friday, 27 April, at 10 o'clock together with the town councillors Ewald Raasch (department of landscape gardening) and Horst Radtke (data processing) as well as b.i.t. - manager Jörg Wiegand and and coworkers of the data processing of the city Saarbruecken.
