W-SPES Trusted List
The W-SPES Trusted List contains all the CA related information necessary to configure the end-user system
and/or the server in order to accept the digital certificates issued by that CA.
The CTL format is a zipped file containing the following info:
In the root folder:
- html info files concerning the W-SPES Trusted List file;
In the sub-folder (for each CA):
- the digital certificate of the root CA and all the necessary sub-CAs
- html info files concerning the specific CA (if available)
All the digital certificates of W-SPES Trusted CAs are provided in Base64 ASCII format (*.cer) and X.509 bynary format (*.der)
The signed version of W-SPES Trusted List is a PKCS#7 file type. The signature can guarantee that the zipped
file is not corrupted / modified. The signature has been produced by a dedicated W-SPES Certification Authority.
In order to surely verify this signature please take care to obtain the W-SPES CA certificate via an out of band
secure channel
